Whalley & Ditrict Lions have been fund raising following the floods to support our local communities in and around Whalley & Billington.Emergency grants for individuals and families are available
Grants may be made for charitable purposes to relieve hardship in Whalley & District caused directly or indirectly by the storm and flooding in December 2015.
Funded donations from individuals, businesses, charitable trusts and funds from Whalley & District Lions Club.
Who can apply?
Individuals or families who are suffering significant damage to property or possessions. We can provide support for the following (this is not an exhaustive list):
• heating and heating equipment
• child care equipment
• basic furniture
• essential white goods such as cookers, fridges, freezers and washers

The Household Flood Resilience Grant Scheme administered by Ribble Valley Borough Council allows for a maximum grant of £5,000 (including VAT) to be applied for to allow householders to apply flood resistance measures to their property.
